Maybe he's got loudspeakers in his studio that differs from yours when it comes
to the low-midrange frequencies. Every song that I have recorded in studios
other than my own sounds like shit on my own stereo, but sounds ok in the
studios and on other peoples stereos. It works the other way around too: some
stuff sounds rich and warm thru my speakers but sounds thin and grey thru
other peoples speakers. This is really a problem, and I will buy new speakers
as soon as I get some money...
And, of course, every producer has his own style...maybe he likes cold stuff...
